The construction of a mineral insulated cable is as follows:
– one or more wire- like conductors (cores) are embedded in a high insulation quality mineral powder and pressed into a metal tube (sheath) made of oxidation and corrosion resistant material. The entire material combination is then processed using suitable forming steps to obtain the final dimensions.
1. Assembly
First We dry the insulation material(MgO). It will improve insulation resistance of mi cable.
Second We straighten the conductors.
Third we will clean tube.
To avoid humidity being absorbed by the hygroscopic insulation material the components are dried thoroughly and filled at an elevated temperature.
2. Drawing and Rolling
Swaging is the optimum forming method for certain types of our mineral insulated cables, naturally special equipment must be emplyed. Ther inner conductors are best protected when processed on a continuous calibre mill. However, the tolerances generally required for the sheath wall limit the use of the method to a few special designs.
3. Annealing
The production of a flawless mineral insulated cable right down to the smallest dimensions requires a considerable number of intermediated annealing processes.
